The over-sized Nike and Jordan shoe boxes were side projects. They are made of MDF and plywood and made to hold 16 pairs of shoes each. The boxes are made to display sneakers, transforming them from utility to an art form. Accessing sneakers are an experience; users must explore the display to find the shoe they want. The simple design and color around the shoes enhance their individual designs. The designs on the surrounding lids create the shoe-box feel by isolating the sneaker brands. My brother and I designed the boxes for utility; we wanted to create a space to store our shoes, but a way to emphasize their artistic value.
